Great handpainted tile from some period long ago (although I can't really tell you how long ago).  It has the look of the Arts & Crafts Era to me, but then that isn't my area so I'm not sure.  It has obviously graced someone's counter, wall or floor as you can see by the photo of the back.  It would look lovely as a cabinet display or just laying on a small table.  5" square.
